REACH means Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006 of the European Parliament and Council of 18 December 2006 on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals (REACH), to achieve a European Chemicals Agency, tp amend Directive 1999/45/EC and repeal Council Regulation (EEC) No 793/93, Commission Regulation (EC) No 1488/94, Council Directive 76/769/EEC, and Commission Directives 91/155/EEC, 93/67/EEC, 93/105/EC and 2000/21/EC. The regulation has been in force since 1 June 2007.

• All products supplied to the companies of the Jaeger Group must comply with the EU Directive on the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals. This includes, among other things, the consideration of Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC).
• The companies of the Jaeger Group are not considered to be importers of substances and mixtures as defined in REACH and will assume corresponding obligations only in exceptional cases.
• Suppliers outside the EEA* who supply substances and/or mixtures as covered by REACH within the EEA to companies of the Jaeger Group must appoint a sole representative in the EEA.
• If a product supplied to a company of the Jaeger Group within the EEA* contains a substance of very high concern under REACH, in a concentration of more than 0.1% (w/w), the supplier is obliged to inform the supplier of the Jaeger Group regarding the corresponding substances and their safe handling. This information shall be sent to the supplier of the Jaeger Group without being requested, as soon as the relevant substances have been identified as of very high concern and are included in the candidate list. This is regularly updated.
