In general, in any company of the Jaeger Group initial sampling must be carried out. Samples in the companies of the Jaeger Group are deemed to have been fully concluded only if material data submitted by the supplier has been accepted by the responsible person of the relevant company of the Jaeger Group.

Final approvals for initial sample test reports are issued only if the sample has been thoroughly completed.

Initial sampling can be carried out using different standards:

• VDA Band 2
• PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
  • PPAP creates a certain standardisation for product samples in the automotive industry
  • PPAP reference standard is defined by the AIAG
