The electrical “JaegerCANtrol“ module is based on the CAN (Controller Area Network) technology. The device communicates with the other vehicle systems via a particular interface enabling the digital signals, for example “back light on”, to be transferred to the trailer as analogue signals.
In doing so, almost all signals can be read in via the two-core CAN wire thus simplifying the construction and installation of the wiring harness kit.
After the installation of the wiring harness kit, most vehicles have to be activated according to the instructions of the vehicle manufacturer as the control device is integrated into the vehicle bus.
