To strengthen our team in Friedberg in the Frankfurt/Main area, we are looking for you as a Senior Strategic Buyer (m/f/d) In this role, you will be responsible for the worldwide research and selection of suitable suppliers, the creation of market transparency and supplier management.
Tasks
- Initiation and implementation of cost-down activities
- Worldwide research and selection of suitable suppliers, creation of market transparency and preparation of price comparisons
- Supplier management, from selection and qualification to continuous improvement of suppliers
- Negotiation and conclusion of framework agreements and quality agreements with suppliers
- Definition and implementation of purchasing strategies for various material groups
- Deputy to the Global Head of Procurement
- Evaluation of BOMs for the preparation of customer quotations
- Preparation of purchasing decisions for capital goods (e.g. production equipment), direct materials (e.g. plastic granulates) and tools (moulding tools)
Requirements
- Completed technical or business studies
- Several years of experience in purchasing in the automotive industry
- Good knowledge of the SAP MM module and MS Office
- Proactive, positive attitude and independent, goal-orientated and committed way of working
- Strong negotiation skills with team spirit
- Conducting negotiations in German and English
- Willingness to travel approx. 20%
