We at ERICH JAEGER have been involved in innovative developments for the automotive industry for over 95 years and work daily on pioneering system solutions in the field of control modules, connectors and cable harnesses. As a leading global technology company, we work together with many well-known automotive and commercial vehicle manufacturers as well as customers from other industrial sectors. Our global team of over 1,000 employees works at various locations in Europe, America and Asia.
To strengthen our global team based in our headquarters in Friedberg in the Frankfurt/Main area we are looking for a Global Head of Quality Methods. In this role, you will be leading the development of our value chain to the level of Quality Excellence by creating a method set as a guide for all aspects of our value-adding end-to-end processes.
Tasks
- Under your leadership, we will develop our value chain to the level of quality excellence.
- Our management system is based on fundamental automotive industry standards. Together with process owners and stakeholders, you will develop a toolbox of methods to which all aspects of our value-adding end-to-end process are aligned.
- You will use quality management methods to lay the foundations for efficient internal and external collaboration. You will shape product and service quality for customers as well as the forward-looking development of our growing supplier panel.
- You see the requirements of a modern management system, such as data security or the areas of environmental, social and governance (ESG) responsibility, as an opportunity.
- As an auditor in the common standards of the automotive industry, you will accompany internal and external audits.
- In the context of change management, you communicate effectively and to the right target group.
- Together with your global team, you create overarching and interlinked standards.
- You are familiar with LEAN methods and have experience in their implementation, including in areas of central administration
Requirements
- Completed degree in mechanical engineering, economics or similar
- Several years of professional experience in the field of quality management in manufacturing companies, preferably in the automotive industry
- Experience in the development and digitalization of quality management systems
- Experience in direct and indirect leadership, qualification and development of teams Role model for teamwork, integrity, accountability and excellence.
- Strong communication skills in multilateral and complex situations. German and English language skills are essential.
- Intercultural sensitivity and experience in global cooperation
